Our main character wakes up like a normal day. They grumble at their alarm clock as they turn it off. They get up, getting prepared to head it to their office job. As they're passing by their living room window, though, instead of seeing their front yard, they see a debris field.
Suddenly, they're confused about what is happening. How does their house still have air? Or gravity for that matter? What would they do when they run out of food or water? What happened to all the other humans? Are they out there stuck similarly to them?
With these questions and more circling in their head, they do the only sensible thing. They close the blinds and go back to bed.
