Death Becomes You
To some, the death stone looks like a normal, innocuous, black pebble, smoothed and shined over the years of hiding out in people's pockets, but you're as likely to die from seeing it as from the undead that stalk the world. No one knows where the death stone came from, other than the similarly looking stone that sits upon the chest of the king. For the life stone, sister of the death stone, is as old and, arguably, as powerful.
When Griffin decided to align with the death stone, rather than throwing it in the World Forge at the center of the warzone, Annette is left alone as she struggles to find a way forward. The royals of the realm are as likely to see her hanged as to help her, and when the war arrives on the realm's doorstep, the battle is quite one-sided in the undead's favor. The only hope that Annette finds is in the life stone and a promise of a possible future in the east.

Cary Simms: The Small Giant
From a young age, Cary Simms knew that she wasn't like the other boys her age. She was only starting to figure out just how different she really was. However, she fears that going down that path would place an impenetrable wall between her grandparents and herself. Magic always seems to come between them.
As the fairy mushroom forest dies off, more of the peoples hidden within are forced out into the open. This includes one small tribe of giants that are more civilized than their brethren. When they request to be included in the Unified Alliance of the Magical Realm, one of their children is invited to start at TPS on a trial basis. Just like Cary, he is eager to find acceptance for who he truly is.

Cary Simms: The Last Fairy Ring
Cary's Christmas break is interrupted when the assistant headmistress and the head of the transportation department come to visit her in the human realm. But when she finds out what they're looking for from her, she starts to worry that they might not have her best interests at heart.
